Sydney Thunder name unchanged squad for game two

Thunder are determined to bounce back after yesterday’s season-opening loss to the Hobart Hurricanes in Brisbane. The team fought hard until the final over, narrowly missing out on victory with just three balls remaining.

Thunder welcomed two fresh faces into their starting line up yesterday, with Laura Harris and Hasrat Gill making their debuts in the lime green. Harris showed her power with the bat hitting 20 runs off her first five balls while Gill bowled the full four on a pitch that favoured the batters.

Sydney Thunder Coach Lisa Keightley shared her thoughts after yesterday’s season opener.:

“I was really pleased with the intent and fight we showed in game one,” said Keightley.

“We’re backing the same group in because we know they’re capable of delivering a strong performance. It’s a well-balanced squad with plenty of depth, and the players are hungry to bounce back and build momentum early in the season.”
