WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Truist, a longstanding partner of Wake Forest University who is An Official Banking Partner of Wake Forest Athletics and the Presenting Partner of Wake Forest Women's Athletics brings Deacon Nation this weekly update from the Demon Deacons women's programs:

Women's Golf:

Two members of the Wake Forest women's golf team were invited to compete at the elite Augusta National Women's Amateur tournament on April 1-4.

Junior Macy Pate will make her return to the competition for her second straight year, while sophomore Chloe Kovelesky is set to make her debut.

Wake Forest boasts a stellar history of competitors at the ANWA throughout the years. Since its inception, the Deacs have had a player in every final round at Augusta, including women's golf alums Jennifer Kupcho and Emilia Migliaccio. Kupcho won the event in 2019, and Migliaccio was runner-up in 2021 after a tiebreaker.

Women's Tennis:

The Demon Deacons are coming off a 4-1 victory in ACC play, as Wake Forest defeated Boston College on Sunday afternoon.

The always-reliable duo of Sankavi Gownder and Evie Oxford continued to dominate in singles play and Kady Tannenbaum delivered a clutch victory to seal the match for the Old Gold & Black.

Wake Forest returns to Winston-Salem for its final home matches of the spring, first hosting Notre Dame on Friday for a 4 p.m. start before facing Louisville on Sunday at 12 noon.

Sunday's match will serve as Seniors & Graduates Day.

Track & Field:

The Demon Deacons are coming off a solid performance at the Raleigh Relays this past weekend.

Junior Angelina Perez set a new school record in the women's 10,000 meters, clocking a time of 32:45.71.

With the result, the Ringwood, N.J., native now holds a pair of school records, having previously claimed the school record for the women's indoor 5000 meters during the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.

Senior Mackenzie Hart also jumped into the top-10 in program history in the women's 10,000 meters as she posted a personal-best time of 33:58.49 to move into ninth all-time.

Two other Demon Deacons secured top-10 program marks in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase.
