Texas A&M secured a priority target in the 2027 cycle Tuesday with a commitment from five-star defensive end Zyron Forstall, ESPN's No. 11 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class.

A 6-foot-4, 235 pound defender from Florida's IMG Academy, Forstall announced his commitment to the Aggies via social media following a weekend visit to Texas A&M and recent trips to Miami and Notre Dame. Upon his pledge, Forstall stands as the highest-ranked member of the Aggies' 2027 class, one of the deepest among major programs in the current cycle.

Forstall is the No. 2 defensive end and fifth-ranked defender in the SC Next Junior 300. He began his high school career at Jesuit High School of New Orleans (Louisiana) before Forstall transferred to IMG ahead of his junior season last fall, where Forstall was credited with 28 tackles, five sacks and four hurries in his debut campaign with the program.

Forstall's pledge brings Texas A&M's count to 10 SC Next 300 commits in the 2027 cycle, drawing the Aggies level with Oklahoma for the most among FBS programs nationally. After Forstall, the program's deep defensive class is headlined by top 60 defensive backs Kamarui Dorsey (No. 20 overall), Raylaun Henry (No. 24) and JayQuan Snell (No. 57), top 300 defensive tackles Myels Smith (No. 87) and Elijah Patmon (No. 207) and in-state outside linebacker Kaden McCarty (No. 106).

Elko led Texas A&M to its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance last fall and has signed a top 10 class at the end of each of his two seasons in charge of the Aggies.
