Dayana Yastremska vs Alexandra Eala prediction

Dayana Yastremska put an end to a three-match losing run in the first-round as she comfortably got past Shuai Zhang in straight sets. Zhang had reached the semi-finals of the Merida Open last week and broke early here, but Yastremska wrestled back the momentum and went on to win 6-3 6-2.

She faces Alexandra Eala in the second-round. Eala has already impressed this season, with three quarter-finals already in 2026, and she is seeded for this event. The Filipino won three matches in a row in Dubai last month to get through to the last eight, where she lost to Coco Gauff.

Eala leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a victory over Yastremska in the Eastbourne International quarter-finals last year, as she advanced to her first tour-level final. Eala is improving all the time on the tour, and she will look to be aggressive from the start with her whipped groundstrokes.
