Defending a target of 183 runs, West Indies restricted Scotland to 147 in 18.5 overs. Romario Shepherd went on a rampage in the 17th over, taking a hat-trick and then bagging another wicket to complete his five-wicket haul. Shepherd removed Matthew Cross (11), Michael Leask (0) and Oliver Davidson (0) for his hat-trick. Then he struck again in the final ball, removing Safyaan Sharif (0). Jason Holder ended Scotland's counterattack, removing captain Richie Berrington for 42 off 24 balls. Earlier, Scotland suffered an early setback in their run chase, losing both openers, Brandon McMullen and Michael Jones. Jason Holder removed Jones (1) in the second over, putting West Indies in control. Meanwhile, McMullen (14) lost his wicket to Romario Shepherd in the fifth over. Earlier, Hetmyer smacked 64 off 36 balls as West Indies posted 182/5 in 20 overs. Hetmyer also got a 22-ball fifty, building dominant partnerships with Sherfane Rutherford (26) and Rovman Powell. Brad Currie ended Hetmyer's growing partnership with Rovman Powell, removing the latter for 24 off 14 balls in the 16th over. Meanwhile, Oliver Davidson removed Brandon King in the 10th over. It was Davidson's debut T20I wicket, as he dismissed King for 35 off 30 balls. Meanwhile, Michael Leask removed Shai Hope for Scotland's opening breakthrough in the ninth over.
