Football NSW recently hosted an exclusive Female Coaches CPD Workshop during the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026, providing an opportunity for female coaches to further develop their knowledge while engaging with the tournament.

Held at ACPE on 14 March, the workshop brought together female coaches who received C or B Diploma scholarships in 2025 for an evening of learning and professional development.

Facilitated by Football NSW Coach Development Coordinator Bronwyn Kiceec, the session focused on key goal scoring trends emerging from the tournament’s group stage, with coaches analysing attacking patterns and discussing how these insights could be applied within their own coaching environments.

Following the workshop, the group attended the quarter-final match between South Korea and Uzbekistan at Stadium Australia, providing an opportunity for the coaches to enjoy the tournament together.

The workshop formed part of Football NSW’s ongoing commitment to supporting and developing female coaches, ensuring they have access to valuable learning opportunities and professional networks as they continue their coaching journeys.

Events such as these play an important role in strengthening the female coaching pathway and creating more opportunities for women to grow within the game.
