The Fifa World Cup trophy will be on display in Hong Kong for the first time when the Fifa Museum opens in the city in two months.Located on the fourth floor of Times Square in Causeway Bay and taking up 6,000 sq ft, the Fifa Museum will run for six months from its May 28 grand opening, which is expected to be attended by several football legends, including former world champions from Brazil, France and Spain.Asia Partners also owns Play Bonito, a Hong Kong-based, youth-driven football lifestyle brand that opened its first store worldwide at Times Square in February.Filipe Goncalves, chairman of the Hong Kong-headquartered Asia Partners, said the Fifa Museum could be “one of the best events” in Hong Kong, and an estimated 500,000 to 600,000 visitors are expected.“We are talking about the most important institution for football, and this will bring many people [to Hong Kong] from other countries,” he said. “For us, the priority was always to give Hong Kong the first experience.
