Real Housewives of Potomac star slams Cam Newton’s comment about women

It’s been about a week since Cam Newton's infamous take on women who have multiple children.

Newton said the more children a woman has, the less value she has. Well, that comment didn’t sit well with lots of women, including Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels.

Samuels, who was married to Washington Commanders star Chris Samuels, slammed Newton and his comments on a recent podcast.

“I think that he is projecting and he's talking about the women who've had his children,” Samuels, who is the mother of three kids, said. “I would have definitely felt some kind of way if I had one of his kids.”

Samuels, who has three children of her own, continued to trash the father of nine.

“I think that's a self-value issue,” she continued. “He might wanna get his brain checked. He did play football, so I'm just saying.”

Samuels was also puzzled that Newton would feel this way about women knowing his background.

“He was raised by his mother and his grandmother. He had women that were strong in his life,” she said. “So, to even make statements like that is just so rude and so off.”

Some have wondered whether Newton’s past attitude towards women cost him his show, 106 and Sports, which BET recently canceled.
