Dayana Yastremska Announces Exciting News Amid Charleston Open

Dayana Yastremska is taking center stage at the Charleston Open on Tuesday, March 31, with a match against Belinda Bencic, but her story goes beyond the tennis court. Yastremska was born in Odesa, Ukraine, and now lives in Lyon, France. She has consistently excelled in professional tennis and, at 25 years old, is becoming one of the bigger names in the sport.

Yastremska talked about both her personal and professional goals back in a 2020 interview with Tennis World. “My goal now is to perfect myself on the court and off the court, be more disciplined, get Top 20, to win a Grand Slam,” Yastremska, who was 19 at the time, said in the chat. “My dream is just to be a happy person in life.”

She also shared that she has plenty of passions, stating, “The character and spirit I have right now, it’s from childhood I was doing tennis, swimming, dancing, gymnastics, singing. But, I loved something where you can put all your energy away.”

Aside from tennis, Yastremska has a strong social media following of more than 200,000 Instagram followers who keep up with her moves. Before her appearance at the Charleston Open, Yastremska took to social media to announce some career news in a flashy post that’s drawing attention.

Dayana Yastremska Announces New Partnership

Earlier in March, Yastremska took to social media to announce that she’s the newest brand ambassador for Italian luxury fashion brand Golden Goose.

“Welcoming @dayana_yastremskay, Tennis Star and Golden Goose Brand Ambassador, born to perform on every stage,” the brand said in a collaborative post. “‘Off Duty Dreamers’ captures the deliberate break from the game, revealing the passions that move our Dreamers beyond the court.”

The announcement was met with plenty of fire and heart emojis from followers on the post. “I love it,” one said. “Great photo session,” another added.

“Golden Goose has created a complete lifestyle for its customers,” the brand states on its official website, “offering a collection that includes ready to wear, accessories and footwear, combining a refined and modern style with a vintage feeling, all supported by the strong Italian sartorial tradition.”

They also note that “since the beginning, the company has distinguish itself with innovative but artisan spirited products, a low-key communication strategy and a highly selective placement in venues that share the brand’s philosophy.”

Dayana Yastremska Was Romantically Linked to MMA fighter David Allakhverdiev

In August of 2025, Yastremska was linked to mixed marshal arts fighter David Allakhverdiev. The two shared photos together and made their relationship public. According to research from Tapology, Allakhverdiev is the No. 699 ranked MMA fighter in the North America region.

At the time, Yastremska shared photos of the two holding hands and walking through New York together, where she was gearing up to play the US Open. She was also spotted in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, around the same time, supporting her boyfriend at the time at LFA 214, a mixed martial arts event staged by the Legacy Fighting Alliance.

The two haven’t been spotted together lately, so this flame may have fizzled. In general, Yastremska keeps her dating life fairly private online.
