PSL 11 Player Auction Venue Reportedly Announced

Lahore’s Expo Center has reportedly been confirmed as the venue for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) Player Auction.

The auction is scheduled to take place on February 11, 2026, with PSL franchises and key stakeholders expected to gather in Lahore for what will be the league’s first-ever player auction. The event signals a major departure from the PSL’s long-standing draft-based recruitment system.

PSL 11 will introduce a transparent auction model, allowing franchises to bid competitively for players under a structured framework set by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The new system includes defined base price categories, minimum bid increments, and clearly outlined squad-building rules.

Under the auction regulations, teams must assemble squads consisting of 16 to 20 players, with a designated number of foreign players allowed depending on squad size. The PCB has also emphasized youth development by making it mandatory for franchises to include uncapped Under-23 Pakistani players in their squads and playing elevens.

Ahead of the auction, the PCB had also conducted a dedicated PSL 11 auction workshop to brief franchises on bidding procedures, purse limits, player categories, and contract structures. The session was aimed at ensuring clarity and consistency as the league transitions into the new recruitment format.

The move to an auction-based system brings the PSL closer in line with other major global T20 leagues and is expected to add greater transparency, competitiveness, and engagement for fans and team owners alike.

With the PSL 11 season set to begin in March 2026, the Lahore auction will play a central role in shaping team combinations and strategies for the upcoming campaign, as franchises prepare to build balanced and competitive squads under the league’s new framework.
