IPL 2026: MI vs KKR Pitch & Weather Report

A new report on the pitch at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, is available, offering a glimpse into the strategy for Sunday’s match.

“The Wankhede Stadium, located on the banks of the Arabian Sea, boasts an extremely friendly surface for the batters,” the outlet reports. “However, has a lot of assistance to offer for the bowlers who can use their variations to good effect. The black soil surface here is expected to produce a run-fest encounter on Sunday night, with a score of 230-plus being a defendable total in the first innings.”

As far as the weather is concerned, the current forecast is 29 Celcius with 12 km/h winds and partly sunny skies. For tonight’s match, temperatures will remain approximately the same as now.

The KKR’s 6-Foot-8 Secret Weapon

In 2026, Blessing Muzarabani was preparing to play in the Pakistan Super League. However, he recently departed to bring the pace to the KKR’s bowling squad.

The 6-foot-8 bowler has his own strengths and weaknesses. While former cricketer Manoj Tiwary offered a mixed report on Muzarabani.

“We need to understand that Indian pitches aren’t same on all the venues,” Tiwary said in a live stream. “Like the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai aids pacers with bounce, there will be some movement at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. If he plays, he might get some help on these pitches, but I think it will be difficult for him in other conditions.”

Funnily enough, KKR’s first match of the season is at Wankhede Stadium.

The KKR have one very talented pacer, Matheesha Pathirana, who won’t be available until mid-April. Because of this, Blessing should make his IPL debut on Sunday.

If there is anything that Blessing excels at, it’s bringing the pace and taking wickets. During the most recent T20 World Cup, he collected 13 scalps in six matches. His best figure was a 4/17, which came against Australia.
