Manika Batra and Manav Thakkar will lead the Indian challenge at the ITTF World Cup 2026, which starts on Monday in Macao, the People’s Republic of China.

Live streaming of the ITTF World Cup 2026 will be available to watch in India.

A combined total of 96 players will be participating in singles action across both the men’s and women’s categories at the upcoming ITTF World Cup.

Olympians Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula will represent India in the women’s competition this year while Asian Games medallist Manav Thakkar is the only one from the country in the men’s draw.

For each draw, the 48 players have been divided into 16 groups of three.

The table tennis World Cup will be conducted in two stages, beginning with the group stage played in a round-robin format, where each player competes against the other two in their respective group.

The top teams from each group will advance to the round of 16 stage, marking the start of the knockout stage which culminates with the final.

All group stage matches will be played in a best-of-five games format, while the knockouts will be best of seven.

Indian table tennis player Manika Batra has been drawn in the women’s Group 4 alongside Japan’s Miwa Harimoto and Olympian Lily Zhang of the United States of America.

World No. 47 Manika Batra is the worst-ranked player in her group. Lily Zhang is ranked 42nd and Miwa Harimoto is world No. 5.

Batra’s compatriot Sreeja Akula is in the women’s Group 2 along with Olympic gold medallist Wang Manyu of the People’s Republic of China and Olympian Fu Yu of Portugal.

World No. 2 Wang Manyu is the best-ranked player in the group, ahead of Sreeja Akula (44) and Fu Yu (48).

Meanwhile, Manav Thakkar has been clubbed in Group 2 of the men’s draw alongside Olympic silver medallist Truls Möregårdh of Sweden and Park Gang-hyeon of the Republic of Korea.

World No. 2 Truls Möregårdh is the top-ranked player in the group, while Manav Thakkar is 33rd and Park Gang-hyeon is 46th.

No Indian table tennis player has ever won a medal at the ITTF World Cup. Manika Batra and Sreeja Akula competed in the 2025 edition of the tournament but failed to make it past the group stage.

Where to watch the ITTF World Cup 2026 live in India

Live streaming of the ITTF World Cup 2026 will be available on the ITTF World YouTube channel. There will be no live telecast of the Table Tennis World Cup on any TV channel in India.
