Barcelona 'Offer Two Players' To Man Utd In Marcus Rashford Swap Deal

Barcelona have offered to players to Manchester United in a bid to secure Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal.

Rashford joined the Blaugrana on loan for the 2025/26 season and has been in excellent form, with 10 goals and 13 assists in all competitions.

The club have the option to buy Rashford permanently for a fee of £26 million and everything has pointed towards Barcelona activating that clause.

A recent report from SPORT claimed that deal was only "pending official confirmation" and Rashford looked set to sign a three-year contract.

The outlet noted that Rashford has been enjoying his time with the Catalan giants and wishes to extend his stay, with Barca happy to get him for a "reasonable and affordable price".

However, in a new development, it's emerged that Barca are looking at alternative ways to secure Rashford's services.

According to Football 365, citing reports in Spain, Barca have offered two players to United as a way of attempting to get the fee down and possibly not even having to pay anything at all for the 28-year-old.

Centre-back Ronald Araujo is one of the players proposed and the club "would be content with a simple player swap". In addition, it's said the club are willing to do without’ midfielder Marc Casado, who has played 66 times for Barca.

Rashford's Barca future could depend on new president

Rashford has described his experience in La Liga as "amazing" but according to The i Paper, the upcoming Barca presidential election could play an important role in the England international's future.

Joan Laporta has had to resign in order to run again and is a fan of Rashford, along with sporting director Deco, who praised how he has been "contributing a lot to the team".

However, fellow candidate Victor Font has reportedly said he would like to replace Deco should he win the election.

While a return to United appears cleared off even with Michael Carrick coming up to replace Ruben Amorim, a second stint at Aston Villa could be possible.

Villa, where Rashford played for the second half of last season after being frozen out, are still interested and "monitoring the situation:.

Under Unai Emery, Rashford scored four times and registered six assists in 17 games in all competitions.
