The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be held from June 12 to July 5 in England.

This will be the second time that England will be hosting the women’s cricket competition, having held the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2009.

A total of 12 teams - two more from the previous edition - will participate in the 10th edition of the women’s T20 global showpiece.

Here are the teams that have qualified for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England.

Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 qualified teams

Host nation England and the top five teams from the 2024 edition - Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa and West Indies - automatically qualified for the tournament.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka - the two top teams in the women's T20I team rankings barring the above six teams - have also qualified for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

The remaining teams for the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup were decided through the global qualifiers, where 10 teams competed for the remaining four spots.

In the first stage of the qualifiers, the teams were divided into two groups of five and played each other in single-headed round-robin matches. The top three from each group made the Super Six stage, where each team faced the other five teams once.

The top four teams from the Super Six stage made the cut for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

After winning all five of their Super Six matches in the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier, Bangladesh qualified for the tournament as the top team with five wins from as many outings.

Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands also qualified for the 20-over global showpiece after finishing in the top four. The Dutch will make their debut in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

As many as 33 matches will be played across seven venues in the 2026 T20 Women’s World Cup. The twelve teams will be divided into two groups of six sides each for the main tournament. The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.

New Zealand are the defending champions while Australia are record six-time winners. Hosts England and West Indies have also won the Women’s T20 World Cup once.

T20 is the format of cricket that will make its Olympic debut at LA 2028.
