The last part of his career

The end of Cristiano Ronaldo’s career is approaching, a football icon who, alongside Lionel Messi, provided one of the most popular and fiercely contested rivalries in the sporting world, and in this final stretch the two could revive that rivalry one last time.

It’s a possibility: Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t comfortable at Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, and he made that clear when he decided not to take the field in the most recent match. The Portuguese press reported on the strained relationship Cristiano currently has with the club that signed him to continue his career after he left Europe.

David Beckham

Could David Beckham, one of Inter Miami’s owners, convince the Portuguese star to continue his career in the United States? He already did it with Lionel Messi after he won the World Cup with Argentina at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

As it is, Major League Soccer (MLS) presents itself as a growing league and a destination for many young players as well as veterans in the final stretch of their careers; Cristiano Ronaldo could be among them. For the time being, all of this would be a distant possibility, since although the Al-Nassr forward has expressed dissatisfaction with how the club is managed, he has not openly declared any intention to leave, and breaking his contract would require the club seeking Ronaldo’s transfer to pay $50 million.

Another potential obstacle to this milestone in world soccer could be the number of Designated Player slots available, that is, the capacity each MLS club has to negotiate the individual terms of each player. Currently, Inter Miami only has one free slot, since the others are occupied by Lionel Messi and Germán Berterame.
